Docudays UA is looking for active people who are ready to try themselves in organising a human rights documentary film festival, an event unique for Ukraine. The next Docudays UA will last for 8 days, between March 22 and 29, 2019, and take place at several locations in Kyiv.
The volunteer work at the festival is a chance to support the establishment and rapid development of the civic society. Only thanks to our united efforts with you as volunteers, we can inform the community about the importance of respect for human rights in Ukraine, the value of cultural development and the persistence of critical thinking.
It is also an opportunity to participate in organizing a large-scale international event, to meet the most well-known documentary filmmakers in Europe, America and Ukraine, practice your foreign languages in conversations with international guests of the festival, receive invitations to invitation-only festival parties, develop communication and organizational skills, and to work in a friendly and professional team.
Docudays UA offers flexible schedule, compatible with studying or a part-time job. In addition, at the end of the festival each volunteer will receive a certificate for your involvement in the event. At some colleges and universities, this volunteer activity can go on your record as externship (please ask your department administration for mode details). The organizers also provide free meals to volunteers.
All the volunteers will be invited to individual interviews and receive training.
